Globalization has greatly influenced India in driving itself towards high growth and is leading it to the path of becoming one of the world’s powerful countries. In the last two decades the contributions from the NRI community have been significant fueling growth in foreign investments, outsourcing, employment, resulting in higher domestic consumption. However, the legal framework addressing these has been facing tremendous challenge due to lack of clarity in Patent Laws,Outsourcing laws, Cyber laws, inadequate protection for NRI investments, issues related to International Marriages, cultural diversions, language barriers, discrimination etc.
A panel of Attorneys and Corporate Executives from the US speak on the specific topics mentioned above. The audience gets an opportunity to discuss their issues with the speakers and put forward their thoughts and suggestions. The results from these events will serve as a source of inputs to the periodic research conducted by SevA Legal Aid team. The outcome of the research is presented to the lawmakers and ministries in India and US.
