SevA Legal Aid Foundation was started in 1983 by a young dynamic lawyer, Anu Peshawaria. SevA is a not for profit organization whose mission is to provide free legal advice to the Indian Community in the US on issues concerning Indian Law, Indian matrimonial issues and immigration problem.

Spouses of Indians who came to the US on a dependent status sometimes face socio economic/cultural/legal problems. SevA provides the professional advice and guidance to empower them through the help of highly qualified lawyers who sit on SevA's board. By helping out immigrants in need, SevA lives up to its motto of providing "compasssionate justice".
